I believe that a person cannot be the real artist until he draws without a photo reference, painting directly from imagination. Three days ago I challenged myself to paint a character from my own, whitout any pics in front of me to copy. Not the best work, I know, but I'm satisfied. This was painted in ArtFlow Studio in Android phone using my finger.
